Looking to buy a Kubota L2800 or a Kioti CK25. I will be taking care of about 348 acres of Hunting land. ( only 10 is farmable)_ Any thoughts would be great.....

In general, Kubota is a more universally recognized brand; one of the "big three" CUT manufacturers. That usually means higher prices and higher resale values. Both brands are built well and have good quality. You should test drive equivalent models of each brand to compare features, fit and feel. Most people here will tell you the dealer is almost more inportant than the tractor. It's a long term relationship! ....

As far as your property goes...

What jobs do you anticipate doing with your tractor? How big? How often? Answers to those questions might help yield some good recommendations. ....

Mainly bushhog work and plowing, some road work, and clearing back land. I guess dealer is key .....The Kioti dealer is close and is bending over backwards, and I haven't bought yet! ....

I can't take away from a good dealer but there are differences that go beyond dealer control. Do some good searching of your needs and the horsepower you need to perform the tasks you need. Some manufacturers have the ability to outperform in relaibility. ....

Start with the task. That tells you what implement you'll need. Then ask yourself how big the job is and how fast you want to get it done. A little simple math (or a talk with your dealer) will tell you how big the implement will need to be. From there you can match a tractor to the implement making sure you have a little extra padding on size, weight & HP. Go thru this exercise for all of your anticipated tasks and it should build a picture of the tractor best suited to your needs. Then compare equivalent products across brands and get a feel for the dealer. Lastly, look at price. ....
